The Hope Initiative

The Hope Initiative is committed to supporting the families of law enforcement officers across the United States, particularly those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty or have a family member who has become paralyzed or disabled while serving. With programs that provide financial, emotional, and educational support, The Hope Initiative aims to ensure that these families receive continuous care and recognition for their sacrifices.


The Hope Initiative serves over 12,300 survivors nationwide is comprised of the following:

Police Family Survivors Fund:
Offers ongoing financial and emotional support to families who have lost a law enforcement officer.

Family Fund for Paralyzed & Disabled Officers:
Provides support and scholarships to officers who have been injured in the line of duty and their families.

Grief Counseling & Emergency Assistance:
Immediate financial support and counseling services are available to help families cope with their loss.

Educational & Recreational Scholarships:
Scholarships for college and summer camps are provided to the children of fallen or disabled officers, fostering their education and personal growth.

Gifts of Remembrance & Appreciation:
Annual remembrance gifts, as well as holiday and birthday presents, are sent to families to honor and remember their loved ones.

Larger and more frequent financial grants to families, helping them cover essential expenses such as daily living costs, medical bills, and necessary home modifications for disabled officers.

More scholarships and educational grants to the children of fallen and disabled officers.

Increased Emotional & Psychological Support:
Broaden our grief counseling services and emotional support programs to include more comprehensive, ongoing psychological care for the entire family, crucial for long-term recovery and well-being.

$10 provides a Mother’s Day card each year to a mother who has lost a child who was serving in law enforcement.
$25 underwrites a birthday gift for a survivor family member.
$100 provides Christmas gifts for 2 children who have lost a parent who was serving in law enforcement.
$250 covers the expense of providing emotional health education and resources to 1 officer and spouse.
