TITUSVILLE, Fla., November 4th, 2025 — The American Police Hall of Fame today reaffirmed its enduring commitment to supporting law enforcement officers and their families nationwide. The foundation continues to provide bereavement counseling, urgent relief, scholarships, and family assistance — now with renewed focus and strength.

To ensure that mission remains front and center, the organization has paused development projects and streamlined operations, including the sale of the Hall of Flame building.

“Our decision to refocus is rooted in compassion and purpose,” said Barry Shepherd, Chief Executive Officer. “Every choice we make is guided by one goal — ensuring that officers and their families receive the help they need, when they need it. Despite widespread challenges that have affected many nonprofits in recent years, our foundation remains stable, solvent, and deeply dedicated to serving law enforcement families for generations to come.”

For more than six decades, the American Police Hall of Fame has been a place of remembrance, reflection, and resilience — honoring those who serve and ensuring their families are never alone.

The foundation expresses heartfelt gratitude for the continued prayers, love, and support from the community and from those whose lives have been touched by its programs of compassion.

Key mission pillars include:

  • Honor and Remembrance: Paying tribute to officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
  • Family Support: Providing compassionate aid to surviving families.
  • Education and Awareness: Engaging the public through exhibits and outreach to promote respect and understanding.
  • Community Dialogue: Encouraging open communication between citizens and law enforcement.
